SURRENDER
1995

When you lie in bed awake and feel the heat like hands upon your skin.
Watching moonlight patterns on your ceiling and you feel you're not alone

  your heart beats faster

I don't move and you don't speak but we're communicating just the same.
I can almost see your eyes, and you can almost feel my breath on you

  and I move closer

Now I'm next to you, the room gets hotter, feel resistance melt away.
My fire spreads into your veins and urgently you drive me into you.

  Do I dissect you?
  Do I infect you?
Do I protect you?  Do you wish that I would?
  Do I excite you?
  Do I incite you?
Do I affright you?  Do you think that I could?

  When you drop your guard
  and the night is hot
  when I hold my fire
and you wish I would not.
When you give me an inch
and I take all I need.
When you give it all up
and you feed on the greed.

  solo

Feel the night close in and take you down to where your body burns away.
Sunlight on your ceiling brings you 'round to see I left before the day.

  Did I refuse you?
  Did I confuse you?
  Did I abuse you?
  Did you want to refrain?

  Did I oppress you?
  Did I distress you?
  Did I obsess you?
  Would you do it again?

When you lie alone              When I deprave you
And you burn inside             When I enslave you
When you sense I'm there     Give what I gave you
Feel heat at your side           Will you push me away?
You surrender it all               When I accost you
Feel a change begin             When I defrost you
In the thickening lust           Think what it cost you
And the hunger for sin          Would you want me to stay?
  You surrender it all

  You surrender it all.
