R.I.P. DEVNBAVE

As most people who know us are aware, Beverly has decided to call off Dave and Bev's 13+-year marriage. We plan to remain friends, but are working hard to prepare the family home for sale, so at least we can stop being roommates. Obviously, our first priority is our children, who have enriched our lives, and so many others, far out of proportion to the sadness and hurt the end of our marriage is causing. Amelia and Logan are brilliant, precious, sweet, adventurous and supremely fun little kids, and we keep foremost in our minds, at all times, that their well-being is the most important consideration as we begin the difficult division of our one life into two. Thank you to each of you who has offered friendship, counsel and sympathy during this difficult time. It will get worse before it gets better, but it will get better, and we have many of you to thank for that.

Amelia's Page(s)

Amelia's page is so outdated as to be an embarrassment, which is one reason we've put a selection of recent pictures on this page (above). For nostalgia's sake, you can still go check out her page as it is (and seems as though it's always been) here.
 

Logan's Page

Logan's page is no more up-to-date than Amelia's - less so, in fact, because he's so much bigger and more able now than he was when his page was updated. As with his sister's, we're leaving it up for reference, and relying on the pics above to show what he's really like now.
 

Dave's Music

Whenever he has a moment, Dave can be found in his "studio" (a converted living room with padding on the walls, filled with a motley selection of outdated music gear), making what he likes to think is his own brand of music. Judge for yourself here.

Dave's Ballooning History Site

Dave's always been a hot-air ballooning nut, since his first sight of balloons at the age of 5. He's particularly fascinated by ballooning in the 1960s and '70s, and since he couldn't find a web page on the subject, he made one. In the few years it's been in existence, it's really taken on a life of its own, and has since been moved to a separate server, with its own domain name: www.ballooninghistory.com.

So just who are these people?

Dave and Bev were married in 1995, but had been "together" since 1989. Dave graduated from the University of New Mexico School of Law in May of 2002, and passed the July, 2002 New Mexico Bar Exam. He found badly-needed employment in November, 2002, and, in 2007, moved to a new firm, where he actually likes going to work every day!

Bev became a Licensed Practical Nurse in 1999, and worked at a local clinic until Amelia was born. A few months later, she took a teaching position at Pima Medical Institute, leaving in July, 2002 to help Dave study for the Bar Exam. Now that the kids are both in school, Bev is easing into the work world, and hoping to renew her nursing certification - just in time to be a single (part-time) Mom.

Amelia remains a bright, beautiful, curious and imaginative child who is well-liked and successful by all measures. Born 4/5/04, Logan is a bright, funny, active boy's boy, who, like his sister, makes friends easily. Both kids bring joy and happiness, and are making a tough situation easier for both their parents, who love them beyond all measure.
